PoppyK Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Hi there, After spending the last 6 months or so getting back on my feet after a pretty difficult last 18 months, I met someone who I enjoyed spending time with and we have fun together. However he said to me last night that "he can't deal with the obligations or expectations of having a girlfriend" - not in an unkind way, more of a factual way. I have been taking it as it comes and don't have any expectations. He wants to carry on seeing me but after the last relationship I had my confidence and general emotional resilience is pretty low so I figured it may be best to stop seeing him. What do you all reckon? Have I taken it a bit literally?
pteromom Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 And no, it isn't unusual. But he spelled it out for you - he doesn't want a relationship. If you do, you should move on.
