Really just wondering in these situations when do you start dating people and joining online dating sites - especially when your ex says you will never be together so you have to get on with your life?

I was broken up with last year and a week later jumped into online dating. Bad idea...I wasn't ready. I went on two dates and took myself off the site. It took me over 6 months, a random hook up and running into an old acquaintance at a bar to be ready to date again. You'll know when you know. The right person at the right time got me over my ex. If you're looking for a quick "good time" then get out there and see what happens...online, bars, whatever. But don't go out there trying to find your next "relationship" until you are sure you're over the ex.

She sad she couldn't remember when she stopped loving me. Been trying so hard and not sure what to do with that love and energy. People say be by yourself and enjoy your own company. Usually people who are in happy relationships. Being by yourself is very lonely. Came back from travelling to start a life with this girl and took a house and job near so I thought maybe meet somebody so at least there is something to share things with. That probs my sounds quite needy but that's how things are when you want to be with people. Does that make any sense?
