youdunsay Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I saw a sweet post from my friend's husband to her saying this: Because you made me a better man. Because you saw the man I would become when no one could. What does it mean by making a person a better man? Can women actually make another man a better man? But why men are still not appreciative when they succeed in their career ?
january2011 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I suspect that it means she had faith in him even though no one else did. Her faith helped him to succeed, in whatever way he defined success. That is, he is publicly acknowledging her contibution to his success. In the movie This Means War, the female protaganist is trying to choose between the two male protaganists she is dating - both are best friends and work colleagues. Her best friend tells her that she chose her husband not because he was the better man, but because he made her a better woman. The lesson there is that sometimes we focus so much on choosing the best person in our dating pool (compared to everyone else in the dating pool) but forget that we need to choose the best person for us - the person who makes us better people and the best that we can be. Why not ask your friend's husband what he meant? 1
