I have to share this recent experience with my LS buddies and hope you find it as 'amusing' as I did.

I recently ended a relationship with a girl I'd been seeing who appeared to be all sweetness and light but displayed many narcissistic traits and was overly demonstrative.

We parted at the end of June. She immediately de-friended and blocked me on FB which of course is absolutely fine and understandable, then yesterday I noticed her posts on my timeline had re-appeared, so she'd unblocked me for some reason.

Unable to resist temptation I clicked her name and to my surprise discovered profile pictures of her with her new boyfriend at their engagement party on 6th July..now I know some people like to get on and establish relationships quickly but that has to be some kind of record-unless anyone knows different! Clearly she'd unblocked me so I'd see the smiling faces of the happy couple...this is a guy I feel sorry for, but it's caused me much amusement nonetheless!

HaHa. How big was her ring? Some guys just don't see the speeding bullet do they? Great share.

You know what they say about rings- the bigger the ring, the weaker the bond =)

I suspect it must have been one of spectacular proportions!

Despite my amusement, I actually feel sorry for the pair of them, needy people clearly seeking love and going about it in the most desperate and irresponsible of fashions...I think it's rather telling that of her 700+ FB friends only a handful have shared their joy and 'liked' or commented on the engagement announcement and photos. I forgot to mention this is a woman in her 40's not a teenager or someone without life experience that should be a moderating feature of behaviour

mmh not sure what to think, good for her if she's happy, not good that she sought revenge on you in such a manner.

Bah... shallow people with shallow feelings and shallow relationships.

May Karma bring her everything she deserves.

I hope she is happy Samilia, my feelings towards her at the end were ambivalent at worst, I bore her no ill will. Her ego probably took a little battering too, because no man had ever ended a relationship with her-superficially she's a very beautiful creature but emotionally she wasn't all there, a lot of men will put up with those shortcomings in order to step out with eye candy.

I think unblocking me on FB was more about her engaging in damage limitation of that ego, rather than revenge-she had to let me see she was 'happy', albeit for transient reasons.

Indeed shallow people, it makes me wonder what kind of human being can make a commitment to marry and spend the rest of their lives with someone else within two weeks after coming out of their previous relationship

Well, do you know when they met?

No I don't Samilia, our relationship was fairly brief so he may be a former recent acolyte!

..and just to prove some prophecies are self fulfilling, a little birdie tells me they've split up already!

i don't reckon your sides are splitting, and why would you post on here if it didn't bother you?.........most would just ignore it if they were not bothered.

A formidable psyche analysis, no I'm not bothered, if I were I'd be happy to say so, as I have done previously here. This is a forum about relationships the rough and the smooth, and I felt other members would be amused by this story, that's all really :)
