I believe that most of the guys who have no luck with woman have, in fact, below average testastorone. I speak from personal experience, I have had low testastorone since my early 20's and after starting testastorone replacement therapy my success increased ten-fold (an added benefit is that I'm in great shape now - something that was impossible before even when I did workout and ate right).

Not only is getting 1 girl not a problem, I am now able to attract 2 girls for threesomes no problem (not to brag - but I have a threesome every weekend with 8's and 9's - its aweomse). This may sound silly, but its like girls can subconsciously sense your testastorone and if its low, that means you're not a healthy mate in their eyes and you won't be given a chance. If women don't give you a chance, I highly recommend getting some blood work done.

That is all, hope this helps someone.

Nothing wrong with not attracting women. There's lots more to life.

What made you first question your T levels?

What made you first question your T levels?

Low energy levels, eating well and exercising while getting no results, mild gynocomastia, depression, low self-confidence, decrease in libido. I feel so much better now physically and emotionally, my confidence is through the roof.

There is something in that, had a talk with my dad about testosterone and it's benefits. He was going through a bunch of foods that help build up energy and testosterone, and was talking about how one is when you go without it.

I think it's certainly not a stretch to consider the effect that low testosterone has on men, particularly if they aren't very active or they don't have a diet that supplements and builds testosterone.

Strangely enough, I just created a thread asking out test boosters as it pertains to fitness training...I wonder if it also has ancilliary benefits...?

Those herbal test boosters are very weak, if they were strong then it would be a prescription drug. I've done months and months of research and have tried everything, but they only raised my testastorone slightly. The most highly regarded herbs are Tongkat Ali (200:1 extract), Tribulus Terrestis, Fenugreek, Forskolin. But like I said, if they really had a significant effect on T-levels, then they would be a "drug" not a supplement. Your best bet is going to a doctor and getting on TRT if your levels are indeed low.

Well, the supplements aren't intended to remedy clinically low T-levels...but to slightly boost normal levels, so the effects would be negligible for someone needing more significant hormone increases...

But I'm still skeptical as to whether they "work"...

Considering the medical research being done on testosterone and BPH/cancer, your use of the acronym could have different meanings ;)

No! This isn't true. I went to the doctor before my last semesta of school & the doctor says my blood work was normal & healthy. I'm always trying to ask girls out & strike out all the time. Partly 'cause I do it cold :o.

One's testosterone level can certainly effect one's energy level and libido. It cannot get you laid by two chicks at the same time just by using testosterone gels or w/e. It's not bad advice to have one's t-level checked but guys should make sure to get separate numbers for overall testosterone and "free testosterone". One can rate in the normal range and still have low "free testosterone" and that one effects libido. I tested normal overall but borderline low on the "free". My urologist gave me the testosterone gel and whew, worked great. It's very expensive though and guys over 50 may not get it because it accelerates prostate cancer.

Did you just do regular blood work? Because they don't test for testastorone in regular blood work, you have to request it. I'm not saying this applies to everyone, even if you have normal T levels and act like a jackass or look like Chewbacca, you're pretty much screwed either way. But for some people, it may be an issue.

We can smell testosterone. Some guys are ripe with it. Just don't confuse it with phony machismo.

Well, I'm not so sure about testosterone = threesomes with women every weekend, but I'm thinking about getting mine checked. I am kind of old, 41 now. I'm sure my testosterone level have been dropping steadily since 18, or whenever it is that men start going downhill.

I don't care about the threesomes, but I do care if it improves how I feel and how I look, and my never ending struggle to put on a bit of mass. Damn my Asian skinny genes. But at least I'm good at math or something.

LOL! Maybe you can ask your doctor for a prescription of threesome cream, I mean testosterone cream.

Doubt it has anything to do with threesomes but it might have something to do with aggressively pursuing threesomes. Much like the low testosterone guy who prefers blonde women might suddenly find himself with more blonde options since he's aggressively pursuing a number of women without the analysis/paralysis that so many suffer from, on LS.

Bigkat, If you are regularly hitting on women, then I would say your T levels are not the deciding factor here...however did you see the result?

The reference range for normal is quite large. Say its 300 - 700. (I cant be bothered looking up + different labs have difererent ref ranges + also they should take into account age), but You could come back with with a result of 330 and your doctor will tell you you're normal, you're fine. But I bet you would notice a big difference if you were 630 as opposed to 330. Normal is 95% range for men, which I believe is based on past blood tests (blood tests requested by men who are feeling poorly not strapping healthy men + throw in that T levels in men are supposed to be falling compared to past generations). So a guy could be very low but as long as he is in the normal range the doctor will consider that fine even though its far off optimal. Bet the medico would not be happy if any of the diagnostics on his Mercedes were off by >5% from optimal.

The other thing is that many hormones can be bound (with other protiens, therefore cannot attach to receptor). If your levels of SHBG are high then you will have less 'free' testosterone available. Many doctors do not measure this (same with other hormones). It was interesting to read that Japanese men have high testosterone levels but they also have very high SHGB levels...this is the passive 'grass eaters' nation.

I totally agree with the OPs assumption of some of the guys doing poorly here, except the bit about boost your T and get threesomes with hot babes every weekend.

Those are the same symptoms middle-aged and elderly men have and they have low levels of testosterone.
