A girl calling you buddy.

I've been talking to this girl since Saturday night, and we kinda hit it off right away, our humor is like on the same level. She's just as whacked out as I am.

So we talk like all day Sunday and what not, and while I'm at work we're texting, and she says about me texting her the next day while she's at work to help her get through the day, and I'm like no problem I can do that. Then she's like "thanks buddy."

To which I say, "Buddy?" And she says everybody has to start from somewhere right? It kinda made me like "really?"

But then I remember her saying about the two types of guys that's she's met and how it really turns her off. The guy who wants to bed her the first date, and the guy who wants to marry her after the first date.

We are going out for lunch on Friday for our first date, she seems to be into me. Out of everyone I've tried to meet she's been the only one that keeps in constant communications with me. Texts me good morning before I wake up, and tells me good night before she heads off to bed.

I'm trying to be optimistic here, and think that this is just her being her quirky self, and trying to keep me from scaring her off and just falling for me instead.

Definitely can see how her using "buddy" is confusing you.

I would merely brush it off for now. It is an odd word to use to begin with, but if she is texting you and communicating as much as you said, I would assume for now that she is into you.

See how things go, and if it continues, I would reccomend addressing it.

Like I said, we have our first date on Friday at lunch so I'm just staying optimistic that things will go well :)
