dmoore Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 I went out on a few dates with a girl about 2-3 months ago before the summer started. I followed up after the dates w/ a call usually and a plan for the next date - although i did just call to say hello once or twice. She followed up once with a check to "see how I was doing" type call. I was kind of expecting that she would at some point call me w/ an idea for us to get together but it never happened so I backed off, especially with the summer coming & her planning on moving to a boston-area vacation town for the summer about 1 hour away. I called after a short hiatus from talking just to see how she was doing recently and she mentioned in the call that maybe we would meet up if I happened to be in the town. Thus, I called her one weekend before I was going to be there and we ended up hooking up that weekend. Since then, I haven't heard from her - its probably been about a week. Should I assume she is not interested as by this point as I would think she'd call & ask me to visit or hang out? I certainly don't want to be chasing her around & lose any sense of mystery. I personally think its important to not be available all the time or reveal feelings too soon, but I also don't know if she just likes the guy to initiate most things and wants me to keep calling her. obviously i'm confused...
DerangedAngel Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 She's on vacation right now, correct? (Hope I understood) I think you should give her a call if you'd like to see her again. Lots of girls (myself excluded) prefer guys to do all the calling anyway. If she acts like she enjoys her time with you, then don't be afraid to initiate the dates for a while. Eventually, as she feels more comfortable, I'll bet she'll call you so much that you come to hate it. Do what feels right to you. Good luck. -Deranged
yes Posted July 7, 2004 Posted July 7, 2004 I second what DA said Don't initiate too often to keep your dear mystery, but do initiate if she seems to enjoy the dates, and keeps agreeing to new ones. -yes
