I've been doing mostly NIC. Responding maybe once a day or every other day. My ex now is wondering if I want her to stop texting me since the frequency of my texts are random. I want to reconcile, so I've been basically giving her space and taking my time responding. I'm afraid that if I say no, then it'll give her power again. The ironic thing is that her responses are slightly, slightly more frequent than mine. How should I proceed?

Don't answer the question. She knows the answer. See other Women.

Don't respond. Instead answer her question with a question like this:

"Why are you texting me when you were the one who broke up with me? If you crave attention, text your girlfriends. I'm not your girlfriend".

That's it...short, to the point, and concise. This will later work in your favor because women love guys who stand their ground even if they won't admit to it.

It was because I went NC at first, then foolishly broke NC because I had some friends who told me to fight for her, so I agreed to being friends with her like...2 or 3 weeks ago. I didn't want to be wishy-washy, so I just slowly lowered my frequency of contact.

I went with some other advice before coming here and just told her I didn't mind and asked what she was talking about. I really have been busy. I've only been home for 2 or 3 days after the BU, and the BU was almost a month ago.

Edit: She didn't know if I was trying to give her a hint or not that I didn't want to talk to her, that's why she asked, probably because I've initiated NC before. Now I'm wondering if I should tell her that I've been busy or tell her that I was trying to give her space like she wanted. Maybe add on something like I noticed she was talking to me less for the past month, so I figured she didn't really want to talk to me as much anymore or something.
