Getting the last of my stuff back and then finally start NC for real

After 7 years. I did all the wrong things. Let him use me as a crutch because I didn't want to believe he was emotionally moving farther away. Then he met someone. We have been trying to completely sever and have not been successful. When I saw him with new GF, it broke my heart more. At same time, he saw me with guy and assumed new BF, but it wasn't. He txted me drunk that night telling me how much he missed me and great I looked, and he wasn't sleeping with her. Next day called to tell me he was drunk and sorry. I asked where the GF was and they had big fight cuz he got weird when he saw me with another guy. He was my friend's nephew. Not a BF. HAH. During that call we got some closure. Said if I ever needed anything, he would help me out. So I left for a week for vacation and told him to leave all my stuff in garage while I was gone. Well, he only left half. So I txted when I got back and said, I'm missing this and that and he had mail at my house. So he said he would drop off this week and grab his stuff. OMG. Need to get back to NC. I'm starting to learn to live without him, but I need to really have NC. Can't take it. Go be with rebound!!!! WHATEVER! Grrrr I need my time to heal. I guess I could have blown off the stuff and forwarded the mail!!! But my son wants his stuff.

 

Oh and one last thing. He promised to do concrete for my house becausee he knows I can't afford to have it done by anyone else, we agreed to check back in a year to see how we feel about it. I can't seem to get away from this guy. His family is everywhere and all his friends are everywhere too. Good lord.

You can get away from it but you're choosing not to. You can redirect his mail and you can have someone in the middle pick up your items. You can also wait on the concrete or use craigslist to find a reasonable rate (plenty of experienced people out of work and looking for side jobs). You have plenty of options here but you're choosing to ignore them.
