orangedreams Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 1.5 years ago I met this guy at a party. I was initially attracted to his best friend but this guy hunted me down and pursued me for two weeks. At first he lied and said he lived in the city where I met him, but the next day he confessed he lived 4 hours away... He was so perfect... I've never had a guy be that nice to me before that time. However the third week when we were supposed to hang out he was acting kindof shady.. I bailed on him one day and we hung out the next day and he was acting like a dick. We didn't really talk after that. I was devastated because I really liked him. So fast foward to today, he recently became in touch with me. After I deleted him on facebook a long time ago. He called me wanting to hang out one night and I was SOO shocked to hear from him, I even asked him where he got my number from...he said he had it saved. He re-added me and we were chatting on FB and he basically said the time when he met me was weird because he didn't want to do a long-distance relationship but didn't have the guts to tell me and he was sorry for being immature...However I also noticed around the time we stopped talking he got into a relationship with another girl..they lasted for quite a while. I figured he was probably dating her before me and they decided to take it to the next level. So, he picked her over me. Anywho, he's recently been texting me asking me when we are going to hang out.. I'm really friendly to him as I am with everyone that contacts me..And he was also telling me the other day how pretty I was and how cool I am, etc.. I even met his sister within the two weeks we dated or whatever you want to call it.. Well, now I'm questioning if I should give him a chance or not. I feel like I'm ready for a serious relationship after casually dating this other guy for a few months. I really need to move on and I feel like since this old flame has reappeared I'm getting a chance to do so. ALSO, FORGOT TO MENTION, this out of town guy is moving to a city very close to mine because he's transferring from a JC, that's also why he said he wants to reconnect. I'm also trying this new thing where I want to be honest and respectful of myself with guys I'm dating so I don't end up getting used or forgotten about. I'm still learning but I think I'm ready..just not sure if I should give him a shot....

carhill Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 So the next time he texts suggest he call you. If he does and expresses his desire to 'hang out', ask him when he'll be visiting, as it appears you and he don't live nearby. Go from there.
