Kovalchoke Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 When is it "right" for someone to start dating again after a long term relationship ends? Does anyone agree with me that those who secretly bear even the smallest feelings for someone else other than ur current partner constitutes cheating? My ex coldly ditched me and is now seeing someone else. Could this be a way of coping with a loss and avoid being alone?
ladyabstrused Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 When is it "right" for someone to start dating again after a long term relationship ends? Depends on the situation of the previous relationship as well as on the people suffering. Not everyone deals or heals at the same time. Does anyone agree with me that those who secretly bear even the smallest feelings for someone else other than ur current partner constitutes cheating? Feelings can't be forced to be present. Sometimes attraction for someone else just happens. But that's as far as it goes for me to say that it's all right. But if my partner purposely has intimate thoughts or intentions then, probably is a form of cheating? I think best is to talk about it and find a resolution. Personally, wouldn't really say it's cheating unless something was actually done. My ex coldly ditched me and is now seeing someone else. Could this be a way of coping with a loss and avoid being alone? Yes. 1
melvin Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Yes, but this could of been also in the works ( in your partners mind ) for a long period of time. People seek comfort with other people, only time will tell if that new relationship is a rebound or something serious
