avon20 Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Let's say a person is contemplating suicide. Should they at least break up with their significant other first before killing themselves so that they spare their significant other any pain of the grief? By breaking up with someone before committing suicide they give their ex a head start to move on and get over everything before they commit suicide. I think ending a relationship is the right thing to do before killing oneself.
Author avon20 Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 I am talking about those who do not want help and then they have made up their minds to end their lives for whatever reason. Should they at least end relationships with their significant other?
veggirl Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Um. No I don't think a sudden break up would lessen the pain of my man committing suicide.

No. Like this, first your partner has to deal with the grief of being dumped, and later, when your suicide becomes known, with the grief of absolute loss. But suicide is not a good idea. Better contact a euthanasia group to help you leave peacefully. That way, you won't accidentally scar other people emotionally for life if they find the body, or witness the suicide. 1
