Author irc333 Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 You hit the nail on the head, I hadn't seen her lately though, looking good since National Lampoon's vacation. My examples are the best 1 2 3 4 5 6 58 years old
carhill Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 The leading 'older' lady whom Chevy threw over for the 'younger' Christie in 'Vacation' has also aged quite gracefully, especially considering she wasn't generally billed as a 'looker' in the model vein in film. BTW, she's only three years older than Christie. Here's a peek from a premiere party she attended just prior to her 60th. From what I've seen, the body she shared with we then-young males in 'Vacation' ain't doin' too shabby, either. I meet women like her all the time, most married/LTR and some happily single, meaning no interest in getting involved with a man. They're comfortable. Good on 'em. 2
xxoo Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 Maria Shriver looks great. But she looks like a normal, healthy 50 something to me. Maybe women in my area take better care than average? What is a 50 year old woman "supposed" to look like? I know many, many women in their 40s and 50s who run races and tris. Fit is in, at least in my social group. Guys are going to have to keep up! 1
FitChick Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I think most of the posters who think women fall apart at 50 live in the sticks where both men and women actually do fall apart a lot earlier because they don't care. It's probably true in any country of the world when you compare the country bumpkins to the city slickers. At least this thread has shown men that they don't have to limit their options. 1

I dunno, I've seen the "Roast" of Chevy Chase....she sounded like she had a gravely voice and has a few pounds on her. Have you seen Carrie Fisher lately?

Anela Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 But unfortunately, they reach their physical prime around 25. Oof. Why did I click on this thread?? I typically don't agree with trolls but this post, particularly the bolded part, makes the most sense. It doesn't make any biological sense whatsoever that a woman reaches sexual peak in 40s and 50s. And I also do agree with the part about women that age giving off a much more sexual impression because they go after it more aggressively than when they were at an age when they didn't have to go after it as much (20s). I was feeling more confident in my own skin, and more sexual around 32 onwards (and I always felt highly sexual). I shut the feelings down, after getting my heart broken, and reading comments like the above (*ahem*), because I just couldn't handle the feelings plus feeling that I was going to be overlooked because of my age. I also haven't met anyone that I'm attracted to.
Lostinlife4now Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I am over 50.....I am STILL HOT, skinny, confident and Horney!!!! Age makes no difference!!!!! 2

There are very few men over 40, who are very good-looking, yet I run into deluded men, who think they're god's gift and every woman's dream. 2

That's terrible because, as we both know, men are primarily judged by their physical appearance whereas women have a myriad of ways to comp.. Oh wait.
Negative Nancy Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 (edited) I am over 50.....I am STILL HOT, skinny, confident and Horney!!!! FitChick Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 That's terrible because, as we both know, men are primarily judged by their physical appearance whereas women have a myriad of ways to comp.. That's becoming a reality if you look around. Men are the fastest growing group having cosmetic surgery. Better start saving your pennies!
Algermas Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 That's becoming a reality if you look around. Men are the fastest growing group having cosmetic surgery. Better start saving your pennies! That would be because when you start with virtually nothing any increase becomes statistically significant.
SunandMoon Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I am over 50.....I am STILL HOT, skinny, confident and Horney!!!! Age makes no difference!!!!! Oh, hi there ...wouldn't happen to be a cougar now, would ya?
ascendotum Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I meet women like her all the time, most married/LTR and some happily single, meaning no interest in getting involved with a man. They're comfortable. Good on 'em. Does happily single, mean still happy to root around? Carhill, you've mentioned being out of the dating game these days, but wont bumping into these women inspire you to try and test out this supposed theory 'women are at their sexual peak in their 40s & 50s'? You wont care if you offend or get slapped anymore eh?
ascendotum Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 I know they are not the norm and for that I am grateful, since I'm one of the exceptions. Are you having a lot of fun with guys stll keen to romance/sex you up, or are you holding out for your soulmate and no one around your age is proving worthwhile?

You wont care if you offend or get slapped anymore eh? My interpersonal style is relationship and marriage-centric and casual sex doesn't interest me so, when I meet a woman who expresses or demonstrates that she's happily single and not interested in such pursuits, I respect that. Women my age are generally very open and forward about their preferences and reject in a direct and polite manner. IOW, they don't screw around. Err... That said, there appears to be no shortage of attractive examples in my age group, generally 50 to 65. A man of 53 perhaps defines attractive or foxy a bit differently than his son or grandson might...

It's probably true in any country of the world when you compare the country bumpkins to the city slickers. At least this thread has shown men that they don't have to limit their options. I don't see this as entirely true. Yes, city people - especially in cities where owning a car is impractical - are generally in great shape: they have more access to affordable organic food and workout centers, the single population is much denser and breeds competition, etc. But there are overweight and ailing people in NYC and LA too, and there are some older people with really ripped bodies living in Elbow Grease, SD or Doorknob, WY or places like that. The simple life lends itself to staying trim and youthful in lots of ways, apparently. I'm not commenting on the "limit (our) options" line...so, everyone have a good day in the sun today?
Shaun-Dro Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 THESE people are rare finds! Since being with online dating, and now 40, I decided to check the 50+ age range in my area. I was banking on the fact that most women (and I'm sure men when women do their searches) tend to not look as good as they used to when they were younger. Usually metabolism gets the best of you, and though you're an attractive OLDER person, there just some parts of the body that tend to be not as "round" as they used to when you're younger. But, I have come across a very SMALL amount of women in my search for the "above 50" range, and some are still strikingly, droolingly attractive! I was like "She's 55 and looks like THAT?!" She lives in an area domintated by a lot of retirement communities, and I am sure she'd give most men her age in the 55+ area a heart attack if she dated them. LOL Of course, she had mentioned she's done weight lifting for 30+ years, so it all made sense. I mean how many women over 50, that you know, are that hardcore about their fitness? And she had a nice set of boobs for her age, and they were "upright" and not really sagging. I thought that by 50, some areas of the body just sagged naturally, UNLESS she got fake ones...who knows? OR, maybe the rarity of such women in MY area that have NOT let themselves go beyond 50, is as rare as a Unicorn? It also made sense, she was divorce and had no children. I have noticed that women over a certain age, that have no kids, usually have better bodies, no stretchmarks, no post-pregnancy weight that's hard to get rid of and so on. Of course, I might be going out on a limb there, but it's just something I've noticed. Anyone noticed a trend that people are looking pretty good at an age you do not expect them to look all that great? If a woman that old looks smoking hot, she better not tell me her age, or I'll just start hallucinating that she looks worse than she appears.
Snowman219 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I keep telling women to lift weights and I get every excuse under the sun, why they won't, including the ever so ignorant "I don't want muscles". When they hit DAT AGE, it's too late and I can't really help. Many people believe this myth that they will turn into the hulk if they pick up a weight, and it just doesn't happen. As long as you keep it simple and don't overdo it, you will be "cut" but not bulky. 1
FitChick Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 This woman is way past 50. She could kick anyone's butt on LS without breathing hard (you have to watch a commercial in the video first, unfortunately).
Titanwolf Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 ^^ I saw that article posed on BB.com last week. The amount of respect she deserves is immeasurable. 1
mesmerized Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 This woman is way past 50. She could kick anyone's butt on LS without breathing hard (you have to watch a commercial in the video first, unfortunately). omg, I can't believe she is 75. She has great genes for sure.
FitChick Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Yes, city people - especially in cities where owning a car is impractical - are generally in great shape: they have more access to affordable organic food and workout centers. Since when you do you have to eat organic to lose weight? I only buy organic berries and spinach when they are on sale. Any other fruits and veggies that I can peel don't need to be organic. I buy bags of frozen veggies on sale, too. Just cut all your regular sized portions in half and you will lose the weight. I've never set foot in a gym in my life. You don't even need equipment. I ran into a coworker in another department whom I hadn't seen in a while. She was wearing a tank top, short skirt and high heels and looked fabulous. Great muscle tone. She is 45. I said, "Have you gotten a personal trainer at the gym? Your arms are looking great!" She said she couldn't afford the gym any more and now works out at home for fifteen minutes every morning and goes running in the evenings after work. She does pushups, triceps dips and crunches. She also watches what she eats and doesn't deprive herself. Like me, she is a sugar junkie and has a treat every so often. No excuses for anyone! There is more information on the Physical Fitness forum if you are interested.
