The other week, I went to a MeetUp group where we were discussing the big questions of life, an intellectual group where we asked some of those deep, meaningful questions. Along the lines of "who are you?" and "why are we here?" Someone brought up how others see us, what roles we did or did not play in their lives then or today. In the field of romantic relationships, what role do you think you played to people? I realized that I have played the role of The Educator. I came to this conclusion based on the good and bad.

There were some in the past who said that they learned a lot from me. They learned how not to take someone for granted, what not to do, and what they should've done. Some even said they made themselves catch up with technology because of me (the guy who didn't have a cell phone or GPS and had no way of finding me), some said that they felt guilt, others felt anger, some felt nothing. And some learned how to commit, not to me but to someone else. Angry? No, not angry. I've had a wonderful life without those horrible people. But, I made a difference.

What is your role in people's lives? If you could name it, and why?

how is it you ended up at a meetup group with a bunch of people from your past?

what did those people mean to you?

As for people in my past, i live such a very very different life i never see anyone from my past and seldom think of anyone from my past.

I hope they are well but really that is about it. I really don't care what i meant t them honestly. I mean really i hope i had a good influence on someone but the past is the past and i don't live in the past.
