Should I call it quits?

There is a girl that I really like. I have told her that I like her, and she said she wasn't really looking for a relationship at the time, but said I was a great guy. She told a mutual friend, who has recently told me, that she is interested in an old friend that we both went to HS with (were both 20). She also told my friend that she would love to give me a chance at going out, since I am a great guy, but she feels it wouldn't be fair to me sjnce she still kinda likes this guy. The thing is, we haven't known each otger very long, as compared to her and the guy she likes.

 

What should I do?

 

Does this mean she has some interest in me?

No it doesnt. When she told you she wasnt interested in a relationship, it means she feels nothing emotional for you. The other guy is what she really wants. So call it quits. She doesnt want a relationship with you because she isnt attracted to you. She knows she should be, but you dont act/look in a way that would make that animal attraction happen. The other guys dos, and probably has a few other girls after him. Leave her alone, its never going to happen. You definitely dont want a woman who lies to you, tells you she doesnt want a relationship and goes for someone else that you know.

Youre not seeing it through his eyes, to him, it is something because he told her he likes her, and he built up expectations on her, that makes it something. Thats why he has to quit.
