I packed up and moved to another large city after graduation. During my time I have made friends there, but it is a very transient city and most of them have eventually left and moved close to home again. I really only have a few close friends here and the rest are back in my home state. She on the other hand grew up here and has a lot of friends from the state college and home and I am worried about looking like a loser or something. A lot of them seem to be single and go out all the time. It kind of scares me away from some relationships because I don't want to reveal it and look bad.

It's ok. You just need to make time to rebuild your friend network.

As long as you seem like a person who can make and keep friends... that's the important part... I mean, if you feel the need to compare.

I have friends spread all over the US, and a few overseas. You have to make time to stay connected. You visit them... they visit you (hopefully).

Calls, emails, Xmas cards.... just make sure to stay in touch.

It is a transient world we live in these days... for alot of people.
