golferguy07 Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 Ok so first off this isn't a joke...I haven't talked with or seen my x girlfriend of 5 years for almost 5 years now. I was her first boyfriend etc. She met a guy right after me her second boyfriend, and now and his been engaged and getting married this weekend. Out of the blue she text me and ask how I'm doing etc telling me about her new job. She's kept asking if I'm seeing anyone a few times during our text conversation or like anyone... I ask her why she's texting me like what's up and she says she's just wanted to say hi and ask how I was doing?? What the hell is going on here?? It was her too I asked her questions and got answers only she would know?? Is she having cold feet or what?? Is that normal before a wedding?? I'm not sure what to do...I still do love her though I told her that. I asked if he really is the one and she said yes of course...
SoleMate Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 It's not normal, but I'm sure thoughts of such attempts at contact cross many minds and are acted upon by some. If "he's the one", then presumably you are NOT the one. At best, you are a chance for her to kick up her heels or test her feelings. But.....you feel the need to assure us it was really her? That means, I suppose, that you only texted or emailed and did not even talk on the phone, much less in person. Well then it's even less meaningful. I really would NOT get any kind of hopes up.
The Blue Knight Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Could be she's having a few doubts. Could be she's looking for that last "fling" type relationship before settling down and you'd be safe to do so with. Or she could just be playing head games wondering if you were able to move on without her. Sometimes egos become the driving force behind such questions. Based on what you wrote, I wouldn't assume it's love, doubts, or second thoughts. Otherwise, if she knows how you feel about her, she'd just come out and say she feels the same without all the games.
