kensy Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 (edited) Boyfriend of a year broke up with me because he said he was confused about what was "right" for us. He went away for a weekend with friends and broke up while he was gone...couldn't bring himself to even tell me why, cried a lot about it, refused to even see me in person to talk...said he was still in love with me but wasn't "sure" about us and encouraged me to just move on. I found it odd because he was fine staying in occasional touch with every other ex he'd ever had but directly told me he did not want to have any contact because it wasn't in either of our best interests. I accepted it, went NC to respect his wishes, have missed him like crazy but have focused on my own life and have found happiness and contentedness on my own in the month since. 2 days ago he sees a "Missed Connection" someone wrote about me on CL from a week or so ago. He sends these txts after a month of NC: ex: someone wrote a missed connection about you ex: I won't be foolish enough to look again. But if you didn't know, guys are lined up just for a chance at your heart. If he got the NC he wanted, encouraged me to move on and likely has lived it up in the single life himself, why come back a month later just to rub something like that in my face? I love him and miss him but I wish he just hadn't said anything at all...what could either of us possibly gain from that? Edited June 25, 2012 by kensy
