Sophie99 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Small background: Boyfriend of almost 2 years broke it off about 6 months ago now. I was invited to a party last night, I knew my ex would be there but my friends would be there too and I decided I wasn't going to bail on his account, I decided to go and just avoid him as much as possible. So, what happened at the party.. Well, a number of times I saw some of my 'friends' hugging him, sat on his lap, even going upstairs alone with him. Now, of course he can do this with girls, no matter how much it hurts he is single after all. But they weren't just any girls. They were MY FRIENDS who I thought were there for me. This is by no means an isolated incident either, even when it had only been a matter of weeks since things ended my 'friends' would tell me how THEY were meeting up with him at the weekend when I was clearly in bits. I've realised how very few of my friends genuinely care about me. It just hurts how I've stuck up for these girls and looked after them when they needed it for some of them going on 8 years, I guess that doesn't count for anything. I just feel alone with it really.. On the bright side, I have left highschool and will be attending a new college this year where I can hopefully meet some new people (my ex is attending this college too but non of my old 'friends' are). How things can change so quickly

I have a party where my ex will be coming up and reading this just made my heart beat faster :/ lol. Anyway atleast you now know these girls are not your friends.. I wouldnt make a scene but i would defitnetly cut them off. Good luck with this new chapter in your life

I just carried on an pretended I hadn't seen, but I can assure you I won't be helping them out again!

My used to be friend, who is my ex's mr. Gonna be dumped, he was asking me while he is on top with her. Something is worse than ur story around here, keep it by yourself lady, at least you dun need that "friends"

I will be. The odd thing is, they speak to me and hug me like nothing has happened and they haven't done anything to hurt me... hmm.
