Hi this is my first time ever posting about my love-life! And I really need advice...here's my story.

I met a guy while working out of town, and we right away felt a connection. Throughout the week working together we would flirt a little, make eye contact, just playful flirting...but definitely both knew we were attracted to each other.

After the week ended, we had a wrap up party, where things intensified. Right away he came up to me and we started talking, and ended up teaming up together for a drinking game...we flirted even more and just simply had a lot of fun together. We ended up leaving together, and stayed the night together...the night was amazing and we hit it off!! The following day/morning we had intimate sex and was amazing, then went around the city together to tour some famous spots...and acted like a couple, flirting, laughing, talking...overall we both felt a connection foreign to us.

We went our separate ways, he lives in another state so we were both pretty upset about that. It's been almost a week since we have seen each other and we have now made plans for me to fly out to visit him...we talk/text everyday! And we are constantly telling each other how we want one another and can't seem to get each other off our mind...things feel like they are getting intense...but I'm confused if it is simply sexual or actual serious feelings.

Last night I went out and he told me he doesn't want me to flirt with other guys otherwise he "is out" with us..meaning he will not continue talking to me because he doesn't want me flirting with other guys...kinda soon but I feel the same and am totally ok with it.

My question is...is this lust and just excitement over a new infatuation and the not being able to have each other when we want each other? Or is there something more, because of how direct he is with how serious he is being with me. He's 34 and I'm 24, so there is a big gap but we never feel that is in the way. We both agree that we made a strong connection together and want to see what happens after this trip...

advice would really help! Or past similar stories...thank you!!

No-one can tell you whether it's lust or something more, only spending more time together will make that clear.

You just have to see what happens, it's the same for everyone

That would be my canary to watch, relative to the newness of this interaction. You went out and he issued what essentially is an ultimatum regarding your social life. Is his social life similarly impacted? Did he share his feelings about that? For example: 'I think we had such an amazing time together that I can't imagine flirting with other ladies; how do you feel about that?'

I hope your trip goes well. Do you have LDR experience? Distance relationships can be challenging.

Welcome to LS :)

If it goes well, make sure he is the one who flies out to see you next time. Don't always be the one who is inconvenienced. A long distance relationship requires effort by BOTH parties if it is to work. I speak from experience.

@ FitChick - I definitely agree that if things go well, HE will be flying out next...no doubt about that!!! Thank you for your post!

@ carhill - He said that he doesn't like girls who are constantly flirting, and that he hopes what we had was more than "just flirting" and that with him it's okay but he doesn't want me to be doing it with others. ANd that he won't flirt with other girls either...he doesn't really do it regardless. When we were working together, he didn't really flirt too much with me because he said he didn't want to bombard me...he's just not that kind of guy, and is tired of playing games..he is more serious and takes action. Thank you for your reply, gives me something to think about!

@ HeavenOrHell - very true...I guess I will find out in a few weeks! Today though he told me that he doesn't want me to think that it's only because of the sex that he's thinking of me...that he is just constantly thinking about me, in more than just a sexual way! =)
