jobaba Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 On a fan message board of my favorite college sports team. Romantic, huh? LMAO! That is the LAST place I would think you would meet a good guy. Sports message boards are cluttered with some of the most immature, misogynistic guys you will ever meet. Mostly the kind that do great with women and make fun of unattractive women. At least that is largely absent on LS. And you ladies here should appreciate that you have the loveable losers instead. Congrats though.
BetheButterfly Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 If you are dating someone - how did you meet them? I met my husband on an online dating site. I saw his profile but didn't initiate contact because he had written that he would like to find a woman who sings or plays a musical instrument. I sing, but I don't have a voice for being a soloist. He saw that I had seen him, and he wrote me! (He actually likes my voice, by the way... yahoo!!!) We lived far away from each other but 2 days later he called me and we talked on the phone for like 3 hours almost every night! We both hate talking on the phone, but it was awesome to get to know each other. He was the one who told me he took down his profile. I was surprised but happy. I took mine down too. We met 2 months later, and the first day we spent together, I knew he is my soulmate! He asked me to be his girlfriend officially on that day. I looked for a job in his state, and got one! After I moved, we spent every day after work together, going to the gym. My Mom met him and loved him. (That's really important to me.) My Dad met him later and loved him too. (Again, really important to me). We took a premarital course at our church and 6 months after meeting online, got married! That is fast for some people... my best friend has been dating her boyfriend for 2 years and although they are engaged, they don't know when they will marry. People are diverse and do things differently. But, that is how I met my boyfriend and married him! He is a wonderful man and our love grows. He knows me inside and out, which is kind of scary at times lol, but we have a lot of fun together. Right now he's at work and I'm on summer vacation, and I can't wait for him to get home so we can go to the gym and then go to the beach!!! I love him very much:love:

You have no idea ... the guys on that message board are terrible! They have said some pretty horrible things to me from time to time. But honestly, most of them are just normal, average dudes in real life but like to talk big on internet message boards. My boyfriend is definitely the exception!
fucpcg Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 The girl I've been seeing lately plays on a different team in my volleyball league, but it led to the introduction.

SmileFace Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Eh, not sure if we are dating. However we officially meet at a bar that most of the people in our internship frequented. I think I was drunk -- most likely. .I seen him around at out housing events, well that's what he says. We just exchanged numbers that night. Well I guess you can say we met at the happiest place on earth, lol. 1

2.50 a gallon Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 One hot July night, after getting off from work I stopped at a convience store for a cold cola. At that time I had been divorced for a good dozen years, and even though I was dating, I had not met anybody special in years, and did not care. But this night I noticed the new clerk. My first thought was "She's got great legs", followed by "I could kiss that face for the rest of my life". So as I am walking back to the cold unit, I began wracking my brain for something clever to say to impress her and coming up with nothing. Then just as I pulled out my wallet to pay for the drink, the damn thing embarrased me by breaking and spreading credit cards, business cards, bills, etc all over the counter. As I was gathering up my personal effects, I looked this beauty in the eye for the first time and I said, "I know you have been wondering what you could buy me for Christmas. Well! From the looks of it, it would appear that a new wallet just might do the trick" Which got her to laughing She had a boy friend, and it would be another two years later before we went out on our first date. And for our first Christmass she bought me a new wallet, just to remind me she remembered the first time we met. Nineteen years later, and she still remembers the first words I ever said to her. How great is that? Alas, we do not know the date 2
Janesays Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 We met in 2nd grade. He was my very first crush. I wrote about him every day in my diary which was pretty much just hearts and declarations of love. We reconnected on facebook 25 years later. He's my first and last great love.
MooBear Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 My work colleague was dating his best friend and so they decided to set us up on a blind date :-)
