This actually happened a few years ago, but I had a flashback to it today for some reason. I was at this bar with a male friend of mine, we were wrapping up the evening. He said he was going to use the bathroom and then we would leave, I said ok and sat on a bar stool waiting for him. I was just having a look around the room at people, sipping what was left of my drink in my glass. Then, out of no where, some guy comes up to me. He leans in and says close to my ear (since the music there was rather loud):

I see you sitting here looking so sad. Don't worry, someday some man will come along and love you and make you happy.

I looked up at him, thinking that he was trying to pick me up and tell me that he was, in fact, that man promised. But he walked away and I have never seen him again. I was kind of embarrassed, thinking that I must look very pathetic. I hope I don't when I am out on the town.

That was three years ago, nothing has really changed since then.

Do something about it. Make change happen.

That is now going to be my new move.

Thank you. :)

What was wrong with this male friend that he wasn't after you? I wouldn't leave you alone in a bar, I'd hold it till I got home.

Eh what? Women are not little fragile flowers.

I usually watch out for my female friends in case some drunk guy won't leave them alone. But they have other options.

1) Go over to a bouncer

2) Go over to the bartender

3) Go over to some random guy they were socializing with earlier

Done. All these people will be more than willing to help. And 99% of the time, the annoy-er will go away as soon as another man steps in, even if they're drunk. If they fall into that 1%, then it'd be for the bouncers to handle, even if you were standing next to her holding your pee.

When women exit the bar, that's when things could get a little scary, especially if they parked far away. But that's why you finish your business, and walk them to their car.

I have gotta agree with fishtaco. Having to pee if you do get into it with another guy really is not going to help the situation and it is not like women don't go out without men all the time. Hell, if the woman was single and jut a friend she would want some space because I would drive away the single men.
