jeff2705 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Please help . . .what is appropriate amount of money to give to the officiating pastor at a church wedding? This pastor and church have no set fee for this. It's a church wedding, with rehearsal dinner the night before that he attends, wedding attendance about 250. Can you help with this info? Thanks!
tiki Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 I paid $50.00...but I knew mine very well. You gotta make it worth his time.
moimeme Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Call some other churches of the same denomination and ask. The amounts can vary quite a bit.
binturong Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 The pastor of the church we booked charges $500. We're not members of the church, though, so I don't know if that would make a difference. That price includes the premarital counselling, the rehearsal, and the wedding itself.
