boytoy Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 (edited) I have, over the years, discovered a fantastic method to get over someone, say after a breakup or rejection. This is not a joke, it really works. I think it works particularly well on me, because I have a particularly acute sense of smell that is directly plugged into my emotions, but I suspect it will be of help for most people. You will need: 5-10 minutes, a picture of the person you are trying to get over, and a smell that you find particularly repulsive. Here's the method: Think very carefully of the person you are trying to get over, and at the same time look at a picture of them. Then, take a whiff of the smell you hate and think deeply about associating that smell with them. Repeat a few times. That's it, you're done!! This has worked wonders for me in the past. You're welcome. Edited June 13, 2012 by boytoy 3

Author boytoy Posted June 14, 2012 Author Posted June 14, 2012 But what if stinky things turn you on? Then it stands to reason that nice smelling things turn you off. Use flowers then.

I am dying just imagining some fool actually doing this LOL I'm not saying it doesn't work, but I would pay $100 to be a fly on the wall seeing some guy do this! 1
ohmygoshistalk Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 i cant think of anything repulsive. maybe cat and doog poop mashed together? I might have to like get my hands dirty -literally to get my hands on that. thank you for this tip though, i have a very sharp sense of smell and this might probably work
utterer of lies Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 But what if stinky things turn you on? That's not even the worst case. If you strongly miss that person but only weakly hate the smell, it's more likely that you will become sad and miss the person every time you smell that smell. That is, if Pavlovian Condition really were that simple. Magical thinking about science is still magical thinking.
