lucifer2019 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Okay, so my ex-girlfriend broke up with me a month ago and I still have really strong feelings for her. We had been together for 6 months before this, and I truly love this girl and I'll do anything to get her back. I want to show her that I still care about her. Just a few things to clear up as to why our relationship ended in the first place: 1) She felt like we were no longer connecting as deeply and that we were "growing apart." 2) She wanted to take a break and focus on other things in her life, so she'd rather just have me as a close friend than a boyfriend. 3) I'm pretty sure she lost attraction towards me because this was my first real, long-term relationship and I was sort of insecure about what to do an how to act. As a result, I believe she began to think of me as a close friend rather than a boyfriend. 4) My close friend (who's also best friends with my ex) told me she's scared of commitment and doesn't really know what she wants in a relationship. All of these facts combined led me to form this plan: When we return to school in the fall, her birthday is in September, so I really wanna do something grand and romantic to show her I still love her. My plan is this: I'm gonna write her a song on acoustic guitar, bike to her house the night of her birthday and serenade her. Maybe give he a necklace or a single rose or something. Girls, please be honest: would you consider getting back with your ex-boyfriend if he did this for you? Even after being apart for 4 months over the summer? Or would it come across as desperate or needy, seeing as she's the one who dumped me? I just want to man up and show her that I'm still the guy she fell in love with. Thank you so much! Any help is really appreciated.
veggirl Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Nnnnnooooo! That REEKS of desperation. Do NOT do that! Please! It will push her even further away, I promise. 2

Philosoraptor Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 This will definitely work if your goal is to totally humiliate yourself. Since you are in school the world will spread around and you will not only still be single but also the laughing stock of your peers. 1
