Emptybeat Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 About three weeks ago I started talking to an old friend from high school we texted for a couple of days and eventually went out. That same night after I left he went out with his friends and pretty much texted me the whole night. We didn't hang out the next day, but we did hang out that for those next two days. He works off shore so he ended up leaving to go work, but before he left did admit to liking me and we shared a kiss. For the two weeks he was gone he texted me every day. So he got back into town on Tuesday and we had made plans to hang out Saturday. Saturday comes and he tells me that he can't go to the beach so I asked him if he still wanted to hang out and we could just do something different (I even told him if he didn't want to it was okay). He replied 30 minutes later with he did want to hang out so when I asked him what time he never replied. After waiting for an hour I knew I was being blown off so I went out with a friend and sent him a text telling him 'Hey, don't worry about it. I'm going to go out with a friend. I hope you have fun the rest of the time you're here and I hope everything continues to go good for you!" Even though my feelings were hurt I didn't want to be rude about the whole thing. Sunday morning he sends me a text telling me nothing went right yesterday the weather sucked, his paycheck never got deposited etc. Kind of avoiding the last text I sent him and the fact that he blew me off. We made small talk for awhile and again he asked me if I would want to go swimming at his friend's place. I told him depended on what time and if I could find my bathing suit. He told me he would text me when he found out. Once again, he never texted me back. At this point I don't know what he's trying to do or if he's just playing games and I don't know what I should do or say to him at this point.
Philosoraptor Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I'd gamble yes, games are being played. Trying to keep enough contact to keep your interest but doing whatever and whomever he wants to. You gave him a pass the first time and again he acted like you were nothing but a backup plan.
