okay im 30 years old and dating a girl who is only a couple of years younger than me, yesterday she told me something that is driving me crazy. She said she was taking a day off to do something, and I asked her what it was, and she said she couldnt tell me, not now. She might tell me later. She said it was bad and embarassing. She said I probably wont notice it. I asked if she was going to the doctor, she said kinda. I asked if it were something Id freak out over, and she said no. It wasnt anything I needed to worry about and if everything goes right she would be back to work the next day. Ive already pressured her to tell me enough, and she said she may tell me later, but its driving me nuts. I dont want her to go and do nothing stupid. I really am worried about her. I dont want her to change anything about her self, I like her the way she is. And what could possibly be so embarrasing she couldnt tell me. (she does get embarrassed easily though). What could it be, what should I do? Im really stressed about work and dont need this extra worry right now. :(

Tell her you're worried about her and if she would like to discuss anything you're there for her. Tell her you trust her decision to keep this to herself and you respect her privacy, but you would appreciate some information that she can give you to alleviate your concern. If she states she's uncomfortable sharing this with you right now, tell her that whenever she feels the time is right you're ready to hear.

All you can do on your end is try not to let it occupy too much of your mind.

She could be getting a mole removed.

Maybe she's got an ingrown toenail.

Maybe a breast reduction.

Who knows? I wouldn't worry about if she said not to.

Maybe she's getting something nasty removed from someplace. You really are better not to ask.
