Coolchica94 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Ok, we're 18 and 19 years old, so plenty old enough to date. We've known each other for about 2 years or so now, but the bad part is that he lives over an hour and a half away, so we only see each other face-to-face about 3-5 times a year. We talk every single day through texting and facebook though, so we're really good friends and we flirt alot. Well, today when we were texting, he point-blank asked me out and I said yes. Normally, I wouldn't like long-distance relationships too much, but he's moving out soon and is wanting to move to my town if he's able to find a job here. If not, he'll still be moving closer to me either way and we're both willing to travel a little bit to see each other. I really really like him, and we get along really well. But I've never dated a guy friend before, so i'm wondering if it's more complicated than if you date a guy you don't know as well? Also, my parents are pretty religious and kind of strict about dating and he'd be my first real boyfriend, so how do I bring this up to them? They know and like him pretty well, BTW. Thanks for your advice!
SJC2008 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I say go for it. You have known him for a while so you should know if he's a good person or not.
