loveherrr Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 Me and this girl have been talking for like 8 months and we say we love each other which is very true we're in love but she wont officially be my girlfriend yet because she has an ex boyfriend that she doesn't want to lose as someone in her life (they dated for like 4 years and ended on good terms), she just wants to be friends with him but he wants her back. I guess shes afraid he'll never talk to her again. We fight about it a lot and i just want to call her my girlfriend, shes so special to me so I can't just say like "choose me or we're done". How do I go about this situation? I wanna be more than what we are. I need advice!
c0nfused88 Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I know how she feels. I am out of a 5 year relationship and don't want my ex to be out of my life. I am starting to see other people though. If I fall in love with someone else that would make my life very complicated. You are very kind and trusting to be okay with her being friends with her ex. The fact that she wont be official with you-- means she is more than likely still seeing her ex (or even others) and probably sleeping with him. Even though I wasn't officially with my ex, as I saw others I couldn't cross that mental line of sleeping with them/getting serious because it didn't seem right. Something is fishy-- 8 months of dating and love... and not willing to be your girlfriend? You're being used.
