So what is it? Keep it short. Maybe a few sentences to a paragraph. And please lets not get into any arguments in this thread. Respect each others deal breakers and keep the thread moving. Now...for a unconditional dealbreaker...Im talking something that you give no second thought for being enough reason to dump someone or cross them off your list as a potential date.

 

Mine is dishonesty about anything that would be important to a partner or relationship. One lie, and Im done right then and there. My past has taught me that liars deserve zero tolerance.

Lying, cheating, being a mummys boy, over use of alcohol, or drug use.

 

Also, I would totally dump someone who says 'chimley' instead of chimney.

Smoking. Existing children would be a very tough one to overcome. Super religious (notice I said religious, not spiritual, big difference for me.) That's probably about it.

This will sound really childish but.......I cannot stand people who constantly moan and nitpick ALL THE TIME!

 

It's sounds funny coming from a Virgo aswell I'd imagine, but it's a pet hate, and a certain dealbreaker. I hate being nagged. I like a good fierce argument or debate to get the fires stoked, but moaning I can't do.

I'm with on the dishonesty about important things, which feeds into being able to trust the person.

 

Someone who is able to lie about that stuff is probably not a good long term prospect.

That's all I needed to read. Dealbreaker. If you can't stand up for yourself, you will always live your life by someone's rules. Not exactly a turn on for me.

Smoking/cigars/chewing tobacco

Drug use

Heavy drinking

Shaky employment history/difficult time keeping jobs

Negative/pessimistic

Jealousy

Unpredictable moods

Disrespect (toward me and others)

Controlling

Clingy/Needy

Bizarre sexual fetishes (nothing against them, just not for me)

Recently divorced

Divorced with a crazy ex

 

So yeh. If/when I am single again, I'll basically be staying that way. And I am ok with that!

Outside of the bedroom...

 

- Lying's #1. And I do count omissions/half-truths as lies.

- Not wanting kids, since I want to be a mother someday.

- Not sharing the same view on respect for people in general.

- Moderate to heavy drug use of any drug.

- Regular recreational use of illegal drugs.

 

Those are all my majors.
