irc333 Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Okay, I'm hearing one of the major dating faux pax (not sure of the spelling, of course I'm not French, lol) is to put genders of you snuggled up with the opposite sex or making any kind of physical contact. Though, seeing a caption that says, "This is one of my BFF's , he's great!" Doesn't help their cause either. Agree or disagree?
TigerCub Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 (edited) Agree because most of the time, the person who's profile it is will pick friends that they think are hot, to showcase - they're not gonna put their ugmo friends - so that on its own seems kind of lame - that they need to showcase their "hottest" friends to try and seem cool and pretty hot themselves. ...pretty lame. If their friend of the opposite sex was an ugmo - wouldn't even be noticed. Edit - when I wrote the above, I had the image of guy with his female friends all over him in the bar, everyone holding their drinks kinda pics in mind. Edited May 29, 2012 by TigerCub
udolipixie Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Depends to me: I agree it doesn't help their cause if they are interested in guys who think guys & gals can't be friends, gals can only have a certain number of friends otherwise she's by default an attention seeker, or see her guy friends as orbiters, friend zoned, or competition because they are projecting their own 'friend zone' experiences/fears. I disagree it doesn't help their cause if she wants to avoid to a guy with such a mindset as stated above.
oaks Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Not sure what the question is, but how do you know they are men who have been FZ'ed rather than, say, men who are friends, or any other category of man who was caught by the camera at that instant? Do they have captions? "This is me and Bob at Hooters. He wants me but I don't fancy him so I put in him the friendzone." 2

"See this guy, he really desires me, but I can't seem to tell him I don't like him in that way.....any idea what I can do about this situation" As she sits in his lap and has her picture taken for her Match.com profile. lol j/k.
g450 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Yeah I never could figure that one out. Of all the photos she could put up there, she picks one with another guy in it. It screams "attention whore". Some people are freaking stupid and shouldnt breed....or date for that matter. Hell if she really wants a threesome, there are appropriate web sites for that.

Well, exactly. So it's just a photo with a guy in it. Not a FZed guy, just a guy. What's the problem? Does having male friends rule her out for a date with you? If so, no need to contact her and you've saved yourself from a wasted date.

Well, I'm just saying it's lame to be putting photos of you with other members of the opposite sex "Snuggling" up with her. No, I don't contact those women, they're narcissistic. I just felt like posting about it on this "Love and Relationship" forum, that's all.
ctes300 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 If the photo's caption doesn't say "..with my dad" or "brother" - it's NEXT!
