can a girl's feelings change this much?

So I'm a little confused and I'm not a very good story teller so bare with me

 

I've been friends with this girl for about 5 years now. About this time last year, I started REALLY liking her and told her how I felt. She went on about how she didn't feel the same but wanted to keep our friendship in tact. It took a bit of effort but we're still going strong as friends.

 

On Saturday night she gave me a call to come and pick her up from a nightclub and I was just at home so I figured if I'm awake then why not. On the way home she asked if I'd like to go past a view of the city and sit down for a bit. While we were there we started cuddling and she held onto my arm when we went for a bit of a walk. Now I know that for a lot of people out there this seems like an everyday sort of thing, but she made a big deal to me one time about how she hated guys putting their arms around her or making any body contact unless she really 'liked' them. When I dropped her home she gave this really long hug and blew me a kiss.

 

I'm just puzzled because she's dropping all these hints that she now does like me, when last year she didn't.I would talk to her about it, but she's going away overseas now for 8 weeks and I don't want to bring it up and leave it in the air for such a long time. I've been with someone since I told her I liked her last year so I was always prepared to move on, but if there's an opportunity give things a go with her then I wouldn't say no.

 

Any suggestions? Would she have been like this just because she had a bit to drink, or do some girls really change their minds like this? Do I bring it up before she goes overseas this week and leave it up in the air?

She just needed a friend that night. Sounds like she went to the club, had a bad time, felt lonely and needed someone there for her.

Girl leaving club=girl who is tipsy. You are not getting what you want from this girl at all so why bother sticking around?
