He said that he didn't want a relationship now, will probably regret it later, but now this is the only way. After 3 days he called and left a message saying that he didn't know if I was trying to get in contact with him because he lost his phone. Told me not to call because he didn't have his phone. I waited a couple of hours and called anyway, he answered, said that he went out and got another phone. Ok, whatever. Three weeks of no contact, and he called and left a message that he was just calling to check up on me. I waited until the next day to return the call (no contact rule) We didn't talk about the relationship, just, how are you, fine, that sort of thing. We was on the phone for 5 minute, I made sure to end the call by saying, well I just returned your call, Ok, and he said Well if you ever need me, give me a call. I said, Thank You, bye. It was his idea to breakup. He know that I don't believe in friendship with an ex, So what did he mean ? Call if you need me ? Oh by the way, we was together for 8 months, but I could tell that he wasn't happy after the 3rd month.
kirkyswife Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Sounds to me like you did a little something something to his ego and he's not used to women handling themselves with such a lack of emotion - I think it's the OUt of Sight out of mind game he's trying to run on you. Keep it moving forward you are doing just fine
