For a lot of folks, the Fall/Winter holidays are the worst to cope with when it comes to being single. For me, it is the Summer holidays -- by far. Why? I guess to me it seems like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and NYE go by in a blip. Whereas Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day are entire weekends.

Entire weekends of watching families taking boats and RVs up to cottages, of groups of couples on motorcycles hitting the open-road, of friends going camping/fishing/whatevering.

For me personally, it was a weekend to spend with my ex at a music festival. So, I'm spending the weekend trying not to think about having spent those weekends at those music festivals. That, and doing schoolwork so that maybe someday I can afford to do the above.

So, how are all of you coping this weekend?

Hi, there, Scorp!!! Hope this finds you well. Initially, weekends got me down---I would imagine him with another woman having a blast and acting as if I never existed. When the weather was beautiful like this, it brought me down because he and I used to do things, take walks, etc. Now I am indifferent and do my own thing. I get lost in gardening and that is where I get my stress out sometimes. Also, exercising helps, too. Making a patriotic cake just for fun, as well. It's so quiet around here; everyone is down the shore....soooo glad I am here; the shore is congested and crowded. All will be well in good time, my friend.
