J_weik Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Some times when i go outside at night, it gets to me. It makes me think about memories, or makes me think about my ex for some wierd reason. Tonight its a bit cool out, and it makes me depressed even more then i already am.
anotherperson Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 For me, it's not outside, but rather the music in coffee shops. Not the music itself, I should say.. the location. Or something. It's very strange. I understand. Hang in there, j_weik.
Mr Spock Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 Your olfactory sense (hey big words can be misspelled too) is the sense that is most linked to your memories and feelings. Chances are, the particles that you smell combined with the lighting and quietness of evening remind you of times when you felt particularly in love with your partner. I'm not quite sure how to help you with this one...perhaps try to do something that makes you happy when you go outside at night that will replace the memories and unhappy feelings? Walk a dog? Look at the stars?
Pookette Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 When I smell the night air it brings back awesome memories. Well, mostly keg parties, but they were good times. Also long walks with loved ones, fishing just before dark, and sitting in the cool grass after a hot day and just plain enjoying. For me listening to crickets and frogs are a part of that smell, and it's just not the same if they aren't chirping.
