CptVenture Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 My on and off girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me today. We had some long breaks and some good runs. I dont think I will be getting back together with her and I want to move on. But I feel like I am going to stuck comparing every girl I meet to her and no one will ever be as perfect as she was. Things were amazing, we talked about marriage and last week she even said she would marry me right now if I asked... Then boom, 3 days later she's "Not Happy". But we were so happy before.... So how do i break the curse of comparing. She was beautiful, and I loved being with her. I am afraid I will never find a beautiful girl that can ever make me as happy as she did. And my heart is in pieces right now and I'm doing everything I can to maintain NC. I appreciate you reading, any advice would be great. Also im 20 and she is 19, we had our future planned out and everything and then she said she sees me only as a friend.
JJ72 Posted May 25, 2012 Posted May 25, 2012 Apparently she wasn't all that perfect...otherwise you'd still be together. If you mean perfect physically...meh...that wears off after a while. I know it seems like the end of the world right now, but hardly anyone ends up w/ the gf they had when they were 20. LOTS of girls out there.

Not only will you find someone who measures up to your ex. you WILL find someone better..believe me. Your sooo young and I look back to my love/s in my 20s now and just laugh..I'm 44 now. Use this as a growing and learning experience..there are so many other women in your future!!
