On another board, a couple of other guys made a point. One of them lamented about how women these days ignore the decent men in favor of the sly-guys and thugs, and then turn around and complain that men are no good. Another guy posted links to a couple of articles by 2 men who said the sky is falling because so many decent men have pulled out of the dating scene altogether. And I agreed with them!!!

Looking at the big picture, the game lasts only as long as decent men are willing to let women push their buttons. When these men get tired of that and pull out of the game, it's pretty much game over... then the sly-guys and the thugs move in to fill the void.

So, the ball really is in men's courts... once we lose interest, all bets are off. Nothing women can do or say (short of playing fair) can get us off the dime.

Am I missing much? Probably not. Am I a loser? You bet your sweet bippy I'm a loser!!! Now that I've lost the drama, the games, and the baggage---and I've also been losing weight---I've been doing the things in my life that I've wanted to do for decades. My second book is starting to sell, and my 3rd is ready to go to press... I've been making some much-needed home repairs... cleaned out a whole shed full of unwanted stuff to donate to charity... and am generally feeling better than I've been in 25 years. I have a life, and IMO it's not a bad one at that.

A woman doesn't fit into this picture. She's probably out there somewhere, falling under the trance of some gurgly-voiced Svengali-like player, or bailing her thug bf out of jail again. She's welcome to him.

Meanwhile, I'm enjoying my life.

It took me ten years to find someone who's genuinely kind, ethical, and intelligent, not just timid and idealistic enough to seem that way to the public. Never sure what to think of topics like these.
