Gulf-Delta Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 As I've been working through the breakup, and my ex dating someone else...something has randomly popped into my mind that opened up a new wound. This girl loved me enough to say she wanted to have my children. She always told me she thought I'd be the best dad in the world. She'd always say how she wanted our babies to have my eyes. We even talked about names. It just hurts that she just walked away from such a strong feeling, ya know?
january2011 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 As you've experienced, her feelings changed. Over time, your feelings regarding her will change too. From memory, one of the hardest things to come to terms with post-breakup is the loss of the dreams created around the relationship. Sometimes the loss of these dreams are more painful than the loss of the person with whom you created the dreams. It will pass. Just let yourself get upset when you need to, but don't stay in that condition for too long. Get back on the horse and keep moving forward. 1

Same thing about having my eyes. Then her feelings changed. Maybe they all feel that way when they love us, wanting to have our kids, and that changes when the stop loving us. The same probably happens with guys. Edited May 22, 2012 by Frank13
