Breaking up is hard to do and with communication with your ex, it will only get harder. If communication was the key, you guys probably would not have broken up to begin with.

Many couples do the rollercoaster thing and have their ups and downs and break up 20 times before they realize that maybe they aren't meant for eachother. I did it, my friends do it, and you will probably do it. The temptation is so hard to get over, that you just give in. DON"T DO IT!!!!!

After breaking up, everyone is left with that question, "Were we meant to be with eachother forever?" And it taunts you until it gets answered with "Hell No!"

If you really want to know whether or not you two should be together, then let time heal all wounds. Give yourself enough time to get over why you guys may have broken up in the first place, and then when you can answer that question, you will then realize if communicating with her is worth it or a waste of your time. It takes three times as long to get over somebody who has hurt you twice as much as you deserve. Putting yourself in a vulnerable position only sets yourself up to be hurt again. If you have any respect for yourself, give it some time and then ask the question " Do I really miss her, or was that just habit?", "Does she really miss me, or can she not find somebody better to replace me so she's coming back to me?"

I was with my husband for 6 months (boyfriend at the time) before I completely got over my ex. And the whole time, I didn't want to get back with him, I just felt really bad for breaking up with him in a messed up way.
