Is this true? or is it him saying he's just not that into me?

I met a guy. We talk a few times a week. He initiates 99% of them. We went on one date and it went really well. He even contacted me the next day to talk. A couple days later when we were talking, he told me that he has gotten serious too fast in previous relationships and wants to take things slow this go around. He wants to be friends and see if it will progress into anything more. He said he has enjoyed talking to me and hanging out with me, and looks forward to getting to know me more, and see me more. He then told me it's fine for me to go on dates with others if I want, because he will do the same...That shocked me so much that I asked if I had done or said anything to make him say that & he said no.

We've not been out since, and the first date was a month ago. He still talks to me like normal though.

I will say though, that I know he is busy. He works from early in the morning til it is dark out, and he works everyday and is at church all day on Sunday.

So was that whole conversation him saying he doesn't like me? Or was that him telling me how he's feeling, and that he does in fact like me?

This was once a story of my life. At first I thought I was the one who posted this thread. Are you my sock-puppet?

You are sooo me and he is sooo him...

We got along really well. We were happy all the time. He said he likes me, he said I was fun, outgoing, sexy, attractive and everything he was looking for. But then he said he said he wanted to know me more and he also said: "Le't be friends for now and see where it goes. Is that okay with you?"

2 years passed... We were still friends... I get too tired waiting for that 'progress to something more' stuff so I moved on...

Being friends shouldn't stop you from dating others.
