Sara12345 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 I sent a guy a photo and he responded with "yum". When guys say that, what are they thinking?
carhill Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Not really much thinking going on at that point. Visual psycho-sexual response, IMO.
motive2002 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Personally for me if I use that word, it's: "Damn I'd definitely like to hit that!" I don't really care for using that word though, unless a woman has used it on me first. I have other words I like to use to get across my animalistic attraction towards someone.
Author Sara12345 Posted May 18, 2012 Author Posted May 18, 2012 Ha, but would you ever use it in a "you're cute", or just pretty context? Is it always very sexual? The reason I ask is we kind of just started talking...
TheFinalWord Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Ha, but would you ever use it in a "you're cute", or just pretty context? Is it always very sexual? The reason I ask is we kind of just started talking... Yeah, it's sexual! I wouldn't say "yum" to a woman I just met. That's pretty cheesy!
coltsfan1 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 "YUM" isn't really a cute/pretty response to a picture. If I thought a gal was cute/pretty I would not use "YUM." But it isn't a bad thing, he obviously thinks you are hot!!! How where you dressed in the pic? Like work clothes or little dress going out with my girls attire?
Author Sara12345 Posted May 18, 2012 Author Posted May 18, 2012 @coltsfan1, It was more a cutesy photo...I am pursing my lips.
oaks Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 I sent a guy a photo and he responded with "yum". When guys say that, what are they thinking? Translation: "Nice photo."
d'Arthez Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 And depending on the context in which you sent them that photo, and the guy involved, he may even have decided if you are just a lay to him.
Andy_K Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 @coltsfan1, It was more a cutesy photo...I am pursing my lips. Doesn't really matter... dressing conservatively or just showing a cute smile doesn't stop a guy thinking about whether he'd like to have sex with you or not. It's an instinctual first response. It's like surrounding a porsche with expensive paintings and other artwork. Yes, we can see how classy and interesting they are. But really, we just want to drive the porsche.
Emilia Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 Ha, but would you ever use it in a "you're cute", or just pretty context? Is it always very sexual? The reason I ask is we kind of just started talking... If you are on an OLD site and he is a complete stranger because you have never met, this response means he doesn't care about you or how he comes across. Or that he doesn't know how he is supposed to express himself in a way that's more acceptable perhaps.
EternalInk Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 I guess most of the responses in here are pretty much spot on. He definitely thinks you're attractive. I must say though, a lot women get away with using that word on men they don't know, but most men would be labelled a pervert if they said it.
Ninjainpajamas Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 I sent a guy a photo and he responded with "yum". When guys say that, what are they thinking? It means I want to bend you into a human pretzel....naked. I mean seriously, how can this be a serious question? completely sexual statement
Professor X Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 It means I want to bend you into a human pretzel....naked. I mean seriously, how can this be a serious question? completely sexual statement It wasn't a serious question obviously. She went fishing, and succeed.
dasein Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 It means he is probably a vampire or werewolf. That is apparently quite attractive to many women these days, so you may have hit the jackpot.
