Dragonsden Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I did not expect my healing process to take this long for a 15 month relationship. I miss her more than ever. Is it because I am still alone or is this part of the process??? Is it possible to miss the ex even if you are with someone ... in other words does she miss me???? I know I know ... it doesnt matter ... not part of the equation. I have been feeling like, .. wondering ... if I cry ... would I feel better .. but I have come to far ... this cant be me.
Mr Scorpio Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Yes, if you cry, you will feel better. That is your brains natural reaction to sadness. Do not feel that you need to carry on like some "alpha-male" who is overly-tan, sporting a barbed-wire tattoo on his tricep, screaming as he drops weights at the gym, and his topped off with Maxim hair gel. Just cry. You are only human. 1

Crying helps. Seriously. Worked for me a couple times. I'd go a couple days with this huge weight on my shoulders, feeling like crap. Then all the sudden, something would really hit me. A specific memory, and certain word...something seemingly insignificant. And I would just cry for about 20mins. I'd scream. I'd get downright hysterical and inconsolable. After this meltdown, I was okay for a while. Until the next "trigger".
