As some of you might know, I have been having to see my ex pretty much every day since we broke up 5 months ago because of school classes.

Well, today, I finished school. It is also our 'would have been' 2 year anniversary.

When we broke up he told me I would always be very close to him, that I was his best friend, and I think it is for that reason that I found it hard to let go and clung on for so very long.

But as I watched on from the other side of the park (where everybody was saying their goodbyes), I realised that the drunk guy I saw in front of me, all over any girl he could get his hands on was not the guy I fell in love with. He has changed so massively.

I think I have realised that what everybody has been saying is right. I don't think it will ever be possible for us to be friends, he's changed a lot, and despite my efforts, I don't think we are meant to be anything except ex's.

Unfortunately, we will be attending the same college, but I doubt we will see each other too often.

I just hope the next 3 months are enough for me to heal.

What is your advice to me now? I feel a bit down that I've lost someone who used to be so good and special to me, and now I think he hates me :/

No matter how hard I try not to care, that still hurts.

How do you deal with people changing, and losing people?

one of the hardest things in life is to see someone who used to be of the most importance to you, your best friend, confidant, lover, your life all rolled into one, seemingly overnight go from Your Love, to Somebody You Used To Know...

it'll take time but this will pass... you're young too, so this will be but just a memory of your younger years... sounds like he has some growing up to do as well...
