I'll start with the background story, the general gist of it anyway.

Met this guy while on holiday, connected practically instantaneously (very simular minds and thinking patterns), we slept together - it was awesome. We have a strong physical connection also, same sexual drive i guess. When we talk its as if we have known each other for years. understanding eachother in the way old friends do, perhaps due to our simularities, i couldn't say. We havnt known each other long, yet he says he misses me (now im home) and calls me when he needs someone to talk too,he seems to care about me alot (even if its just as a friend) wanting the best for me basically. we keep in fairly regular contact and although were flirtatious when we talk we are still rather casual. Originally this was fine, it suited me as i like to be single (as does he) but since ive been home i havnt stopped thinking him! i usually think less of someone the further away they are, but i can't stop thinking about how good we would be together. I want to tell him, and some of the things he says encourages me to too but then hell say something else - referring to us specifically as friends like "your such a good friend" i can't help but think he likes me, he likes the sex but theres no romantic interest. but then why continue to flirt when were so far away, no chance of sex. also the second problem if i did say something and he DID (although unlikely) feel as strongly i don't know if we could even be together(distance and all)

Just looking for some advice on what to do really, in regards to whether i should continue to just be casual and let this thing play out or say something although i havn't a clue what i'd say to be honest. I mean i would keep him as a friend, without the chance of more (yes i enjoy his company that much)

but this as is seems to be driving me crazy. I just can't stop thinking about him, wanting to talk to him (although i restrain myself) i'm also scared if i say something, afterwards things will be weird between us, ahh i just don't know what to do. help please?

Welcome to the forum. In your shoes, I'd cultivate other options closer to home while keeping in touch with this one. It doesn't sound like any progress is being made towards making you happy with this one. Good luck.
