sid3 Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Just curious if its something women ever hear when approached. From what I've seen it appears the majority of men have become very timid and would be too afraid saying that. I don't mean being told in a cheesy pickup line fashion either. But in a spontaneous, and sincere manner.
lilyblue Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Many times... from homeless guys. Just my opinion, but I don't think that that can be said in a non-cheesy way.
Emilia Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Yes. More often on Friday nights when half of London is drunk but the odd sober compliment too. As far as I could tell they were from friendly guys who didn't put too much weight on social contact.
CarrieT Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Yes, but coming from strangers, I never believed them and thought it was a cheesy, superficial line. Big turn-off.
Emilia Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Not a turn off to me. I know I'm not ugly and it's nice when a guy acknowledges it. If he is sober I smile and say thank you.
Author sid3 Posted May 10, 2012 Author Posted May 10, 2012 I heard a guy say this yesterday. He didn't sound cheesy, judging by the lady's reaction she didn't seem to think so either. I noticed it turned the heads of the people sitting nearby, apparently it caught their attention too.
