susanl Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 So does anybody else out there who has gotten a divorce have in their divorce decree that a member of the opposite sex can not stay with them when there minor child is present. I have a ---at the time of the divorce a 17 and a 16 year old---now they are 19 and 17. Does anyone know what age it makes a difference. The reason I ask is because my oldest child was not included in this because of her age but my 16 year old was. The reason I am asking is I have been dating a great guy for over 10 months and my ex just brought this up because we--meaning me, new guy, kids his and mine and their friends are all going on vacation. Thanks for any help--I don't even know if it will work out that we can stay together, but I would hate to do something wrong--although I don't think my son would mind he really likes him.
msrealdoll Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 I've never heard of anyone having this in their divorce or custody decree. I would be very cautious, though. Is it possible your ex would use something like this against you? Do you think he could get custody because of it, if it were to happen?
