somedude81 Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 So I'm playing with The New, Interactive Singles Map. Or, Looking for Love in All the Statistically Wrong Places. The default age range is 18-64 and it shows a pretty even ratio of men and women. Though it looks horrible for men who want to date in California. So I played with some age ranges. 18-30: Virtually no single women 30-40: Some single women start appearing. Still far more single men. Still horrible in California. 40-50: Now the number single women are the majority and it keeps increasing with the higher age rages. Does anybody have a clue what the data actually means? From what I gather, it seems that all 40 year old men are marrying 20 year old girls. Also, I don't understand how there can be so many more single men then women in the west coast. Are people only having boys over here?

According to some **** I read in a book, when a man has sex with a woman, the chances he will have a son depend on not giving her an orgasm. If you give a woman a highly pleasurable orgasm just before ejaculation and then conception, it's likely you will have a daughter. So if we want to increase the population of women, **** our wives better. More orgasms = more daughters . sarcasm 3

(so says wikipedia) I guess some of us are supposed to die protecting our tribe from wild animals, or in wars or coal mines. So nature added a few extra of us losers? firehawk_1 Posted May 6, 2012 Posted May 6, 2012 reason is because of unrealistic and shallow women who are full of themselves. thats why. and it is a fact yet no one wants to hear it at all and think they are in the right and know it all and far up themselves. women have no idea how hard they make it for guys and then they become even more down/bitter/whatever then women wonder "why cant I find a decent guy? Where are they?" - they dont get that they are unrealistic! given this is how society is now corrupted, it gives no real decent person a chance.... *sigh* - why even bother. the figures and reality say it all - anyone with common sense would see it 2

For me, I see mostly people with other people their own age. Especially with young families. I do not see tons of 40 year old men with 20 year old women. I know that this is what you hope for because you would like to believe some kind of twisted fairy tale where men score with young hot babes despite being old themselves. But despite what popular tv likes to tell you, most women don't want to date old dudes. I think you also have to factor in the fact that men tend to die sooner, which would alluded to there being more single women then men. And the fact that usually as women get older ,they desire more of their independence while as men age, they seem to want to be in relatoinships more. 2

If not, then why do you think I hope that the "young hot babes" only go with the 40+ men? Doesn't it make more sense for me to want to date the "young hot babes" right now and not 10 years from now? Look at the chart. There are many more single men under 40 then single women. Then there are more single women above 40 then single men. How does that make any sense? The autours own notes state "Do single young girls exist? Not according to math! Fact: around 1/3 of 20-24 year old women are married. Only 70% are single!" Again, fact: Only 1/5 of men are married by age 24. 80% single! How can 80% of men under 25 be unmarried while only 70% of women are unmarried? And of course it doesn't include boyfriends/girlfriends. As odd as it sounds, it seems that more women have boyfriends, then guys have girlfriends.

[There are not, even in bro-town Long Beach, CA.] Actually, if it that big a deal to you, then YOU can get a date because you will hustle to get one of those 450 single girls.

The survey leaves out rural areas and smaller cities, so e.g., North Dakota went unreported. There are single people in North Dakota. Even if, per 1000 single people, there are 100 more men than women (550 single guys for 450 single women) that still means that over 80% of guys can still get a date. Most of the married women in the 20-24 group are probably closer to 24 than 20, and probably married to men 2-3 years older. Odd to say that the math facts show young single women don't exist, when 70% if women 20-24 are single.

Honestly, I think going by the map isn't going to help anyone. I mean, you could be smack-dab in the middle of a city that is nothing BUT single men, but if all of them want tall, big-breasted, long-haired blondes, and you're a short, fat, flat-chested brunette, statistics are not going to be of any use to you. According to the map, I live in a huge male-skewed area, but: 1) they are all apparently hiding under rocks and 2) I'm not what they want to date anyway. 2

That data most likely means older guy are dating younger/much younger gals more than gals their own age. As for the birth ratio it seems to be pretty even though the death ratio ins't as guys tend to die sooner than gals.
