LilJenny Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 Hello, Good Morning! I just have a quick question and would like some opinion: I wrote an email to a guy I haven't had contact with for about 7 months. He actually replied in about 7-8 hours and I was quite pleased he sounded interested in how I was and what I was up to. I replied again quite promptly but changed the subject of the letter so as to not have it say..."Hey Daniel this is Jenny from school last year..." since he'd obviously remembered me already. That was last Thursday and I still haven't gotten another response from him. I'm debating on whether or not I should try to send another message keeping the original subject line in there to be sure he reads it. It's possible his twin brother could have deleted it thinking it was junk. Yet if he had received it and just hasn't had the time...that would make me look kind of dumb. Wouldn't you think after five days something would have been said? I know it's lame but it's driving me crazy! Thanks for any suggestions! Jenny
StartingAgain Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 I wouldn't send another message just now. It could be that he did remember you and was glad to hear from you, but has other things going on in his life right now. Were there questions and other things in your message that would require a response? You replied "quite promptly" and there's nothing wrong with that, but some people interpret this as trying too hard and even desperation. I know, I know - that's silly.
