Ross MwcFan Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Errrr what? Upper lip hair is not exactly common among white females... She's gorgeous though, hair or no, and I completely agree with the sentiment she expressed in the video. I remember french kissing a girl with a furry lip once.
NeverDated Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 (edited) Errrr what? Upper lip hair is not exactly common among white females... Umm...what? Pretty much every female grows facial hair to one degree or another. Dark, thick facial hair isn't common in all ethnicities, but there are plenty of Caucasian women who experience it. I believe the Germans actually have a word specifically for female facial hair, lol. Edited May 4, 2012 by NeverDated
mesmerized Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 I don't understand how she can be classed as so attractive by so many people. I can't see it, she genuinely looks very unattractive to me. You'd better be only dating victoria secret models if she is "very unattractive" to you lol

I believe the Germans actually have a word specifically for female facial hair, lol. Well... Every HUMAN has facial hair. But most white female only experience the very very fine kind that is not visible unless you are actually staring and looking for it. So the fact that she doesn't seem to have any upper lip hair is probably because she doesn't really have any to speak of! Sure, some women, with darker hair have noticeable upper lip hair, but she isn't dark haired, her hair is actually pretty light (talking about body hair, here, not necessarily head hair, they tend to differ.)
LucreziaBorgia Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 It is aggravating to me that the human body in its intended form is considered 'unnatural' while doing things like ripping out your pubic hair, slathering chemicals all over yourself to burn away hair, and scraping your skin down with sharp objects is considered 'natural'. Good for her. 6

Ross MwcFan Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 You'd better be only dating victoria secret models if she is "very unattractive" to you lol I actually find chubby chicks that are classed as unattractive by most people to be very attractive. I guess I just have weird tastes.

Good for her. I think most can agree that it's natural, but that natural is unattractive. The thing is, the women who don't shave don't care. And the men they date tend to find it super hot
Eclypse Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I remember french kissing a girl with a furry lip once. I thought you'd never been a woman before? If your situation has improved in the last few months then... CONGRATS!

maybealone Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I think most can agree that it's natural, but that natural is unattractive. Exactly. Body odor is very natural, but I'll only give you my deodorant and soap when you pry them from my cold, dead hands.
BewitchedandBothered Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Ugh. When I see women with unshaven legs I feel ill. I remove any trace of hair on legs/armpits every few days (yes, I am obsessive about it - I can't stand even a little bit, or even light colored hair). I also do it regardless if I am single or in a relationship and regardless if it's summer or not. I feel like s%$@ about myself otherwise. I felt physically ill seeing that as well. Any lady I have been around who doesn't shave her pits has a repulsive armpit smell, too. It's just gross to me and I need to leave the area==some people are not aware of their own BO. Seems like we are outnumbered, LOL. or some are just afraid to say that those pictures of her vagina armpits are disgusting.
SJC2008 Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I don't think I could date ber but I think she is an attractive woman. You don't have to be a stunning bombshell to be attractive. I like her skin tone and hair color. Now I like a little hair below the equator vs brazillian! We are talking about hair so I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents.
Bob_Funk Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Yes, I'd date her without hesitation. Obviously I'd prefer her shaved though.
Feelin Frisky Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I for one find it flipping disgusting. But if everyone on Earth disappear and it was just me and Brillo pits, I'd find a way to console myself. 1
Ross MwcFan Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I thought you'd never been a woman before? If your situation has improved in the last few months then... CONGRATS! Nah. This was back in 1992, she only kissed me to make her boyfriend jealous.
xxoo Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Any lady I have been around who doesn't shave her pits has a repulsive armpit smell, too. It's just gross to me and I need to leave the area==some people are not aware of their own BO. You have no idea if women you meet shave or not, if they are wearing sleeves. Do men with underarm hair smell bad? My man doesn't! Some women probably don't use deodorant...or shower. But that's a different issue. A bad smell is a bad smell, while beautiful is subjective. 1
HeavenOrHell Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Upper lip hair is common amongst white females, especially if you have dark hair, most women get rid of it though, so it just *seems* like it's not common as you rarely see it on anyone. Errrr what? Upper lip hair is not exactly common among white females... She's gorgeous though, hair or no, and I completely agree with the sentiment she expressed in the video.
HeavenOrHell Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Ross used to be a woman?! Wow, never knew that before I thought you'd never been a woman before? If your situation has improved in the last few months then... CONGRATS!
Els Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 (edited) Good point! For my H, it was a sign that we did see eye to eye on some basic things. Like a hairy mating call Right??? One of the interesting things the bf said to me, when we first got together, was that he liked the way my eyebrows looked. They were apparently very 'unique' and 'distinct'. I'm not sure if he knows if that's just because 99% of other women shape their eyebrows and I don't. Over the years, I've been tempted to shape mine, but usually hold back when I recall this (although frankly I'm not sure if HE still does!). I definitely think many women would stop shaving if it became the societal norm not to. They may not realize it, but we have been socialized into believing that it's okay for men to have body hair and not for women. Even if their reasons include 'it's disgusting', 'poor hygiene', etc, it does not explain why they feel fine around men who don't shave their armpits. Assuming the person bathes regularly, there is no reason for hair to make your BO worse. I haven't grown out my armpit hair for a while, but when I did in the past it always smelled pristine. OTOH, I really don't think this needs to be as big a deal as the woman linked in the OP is making it out to be. Don't want to shave, just don't. Edited May 5, 2012 by Elswyth 2
Eternal Sunshine Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I dunno Els, I am pretty grossed out from seeing this. I also don't like much hair on men (in fact the less, the better). Maybe I just have aversion to body hair.
xxoo Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 I've been waiting for you, Els! OTOH, I really don't think this needs to be as big a deal as the woman linked in the OP is making it out to be. Don't want to shave, just don't. That's been my experience. A couple close friends and family members (mom ) expressed disapproval, but they dealt with it. I never lost a friend over it--male or female.
zengirl Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Armpit hair seems like it'd be hot and uncomfortable to me, but it's going to be 90 degrees today, so it's a miracle I don't go shaving off the hair on my head. At any rate, I hang with some hippies who don't care if they're hairy. Not a one of them is single fwiw. They aren't really smelly either, though one of my hippie friends always smells like weed. Nothing to do with her armpit hair. Hairless may be the norm -- honestly it's what I think looks best, but that's because I was socialized to think so -- but I don't think the girl in the article is going to have any more trouble dating than many hairless ladies.
Professor X Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Right??? One of the interesting things the bf said to me, when we first got together, was that he liked the way my eyebrows looked. Maybe I just have aversion to body hair. Hahah, really? You'd prefer your partner to shave his armpit and leg hair as well? In that case, I suppose it really is a hair-thing for you - most avid female shavers whom I know aren't terribly enthusiastic about men shaving? I've been waiting for you, Els! That's been my experience. A couple close friends and family members (mom ) expressed disapproval, but they dealt with it. I never lost a friend over it--male or female. Awww, xxoo. Yep, I'm sure I've gotten a few stares IRL because of it, but tough luck for them. I wholeheartedly agree with Lucrezia - I find it rather sad that beauty is becoming such an artificial construct. Still, I guess people are welcome to have their own opinions on whatever they find attractive - I've been successfully socialized to think I look better without body hair too . Armpit hair seems like it'd be hot and uncomfortable to me, but it's going to be 90 degrees today, so it's a miracle I don't go shaving off the hair on my head. Oh, I lived in a sweltering hot tropical country for several years, and I hated shaving the MOST there. Because, well, I know this sounds disgusting, but hair is there to ease friction and absorb sweat. When hair is removed, sweat literally drips down the side of your arm, and when sticky with sweat, your arm chafes painfully against your body. Shaving is okay in temperate countries.
