tommycapnpants Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 i can't believe it. i just went on a first date with a girl that i did not meet in a bar (the first time in 12 years, i think.) it was also my first blind date...which at first was kinda weird going in to. i never had a blind date because i worked in the bar industry for the past 10 years, while going to school. so meeting girls was never hard. now, i am a corporate slave (ack, i know). so, meeting new people is a little difficult, especially since all my coworkers are married and have children. anyways, we were set up by one of my coworkers. we actually had a breakfast date...which i thought was kinda strange, but she suggested it and i figured why the hell not! it went well. talked for about an hour at the table before even ordering. we have some things in common. so, we shall see. i asked her if i could see her again and she said yes...so, that is good i guess. it has been a while since i have been single and dating. so, what is the appropriate amount of days that i should wait to contact her again? also, this is the first time i have gone out with someone older than 22 (she is 30)...in 10 years (i am 31 now)...again, attribute it to working in a college bar, in hawaii for 10 years. thanks!!!
dasein Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Whenever you have time and have a good idea for a next date.
mesmerized Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Not more than 2 or 3 days. If you wait it out for a long time she will think you are not interested.

Well, You are probably gun shy after dealing with very young women, who can be thick with games. To answer your question. How many days, etc? ...Whenever you darn well feel like it. If she can't deal, then whatever. She's 30, and if you hit if off like you say, she's probably wondering when you'll call.
Oxy Moronovich Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Dating etiquette says call her 2 days later. But I've broken the etiquette and said, "Screw waiting for 2 days. I'm interested in you right now. Why go along with ridiculous dating habits we didn't invent? Are you up for a date tonight or tomorrow night?" Saying stuff like that has gone over well with women. You'd be surprised how many women think these dating norms are idiotic. By the way, am I the only one who thought the OP was called tommycrapnpants?
